Welcome to URSEL AERODROME
Operating hours:
- Friday 14u00 – sunset + 30 min.
- Saturdays – sundays – holidays: 10u00 – sunset + 30 min (ULM till sunset).
Caution:
- The use of the aerodrome is strictly subject to PPR: call Royal Aeroclub Brugge at +32 498/08.68.68, VliegClub Ursel (VCU) at +329 374 12 90 or Ursel Radio at 135.130 MHz
- No take-offs are allowed after 20u00.
- For noise abatement only 20 take offs per hour are allowed, touch & go priority goes for local aircraft.
- Solo flights can only be performed after two reconnaissance flights with instructor. The solo training flight must be performed within six weeks after the first reconnaissance flight.
- Jet aircraft operations are not allowed.
- CAUTION: ULM’s and slower aircraft fly a different circuit than PPL and fast aircraft. Make sure to check Skydemon or Jepessen for the correct circuit positions. Aircraft using the close circuit will call in the CLOSE downwind and CLOSE base positions.
Landing fee:
- A one-day-membership fee of € 15 per day will have to be paid by visiting pilots not being a club member.
- Visitors wishing to perform touch & go’s will pay € 30 per day.
Landing procedures:

- RWY dimensions : 799m x 25m
- RWY 07 and 25 left hand circuit, 1200FT AGL / 1300FT AMSL.
- Before entering the circuit: always come overhead the signal square at 1700FT AGL / 1800FT AMSL.
- avoid overflying Knesselare – Ursel – Oostwinkel villages.
Caution for turbulence and wind shear, especially with crosswind (due to presence of trees)
- All aircraft not participating in the aerodrome traffic are strongly recommended to stay clear of the ATZ.
- Basic information only. Before commencing a flight to or from Ursel, pilots shall coordinate with the aerodrome authority.
- Pilots conducting flights within the Ursel ATZ are strongly recommended to maintain two-way radio contact with Ursel Radio
